Hebron Cemetery: Gatestone/Gravestones Comments: To: Multiple recipients of JewishGen Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit I have just acquired a translation of the stone gate that fronts a section in Mt. Hebron Cemetery belonging to the First Wielkie Oczy K.U.V. landsmanshaft. Inscribed on the gatestone are the following names (translated from the Yiddish): Moishe Heiben (Hauben) Meier Rosenblitt Feivel Bier Shmil Seiman Moishe Simon Moishe Dichtler Moishe Bauer Shimon Sambal Meier Gottlieb Hersh Mordechai Bleiberg Mordechai Burach Bogen Jacob Sanzberg Sime Bogen Fishel Steinberg Feige Roich (Rauch) David Steinbruch Serel Samberg Reise Heiben (Hauben) Eliezer Gottlieb Leib Reich (Rauch) Hersh Wolf Meltzer Bennie Goldman Leib Seltzer Eidel Bleiberg Joseph Miller I expect to go to the cemetery within the next month or so. If you would like a photograph of the gate, or if you think an ancestor may be buried in this section and would like a photograph(s) of the gravestone(s), let me know. Depending on the resonse I get and the cost to make and mail prints, I may have to request reimbursement for these costs.
